Our first travel destination this summer in China is Sanya, Hainan. As the southernmost province, it is to China as Miami to the U.S., with sunshine, palm tress, beaches and luxurious resorts lining up along the coast.
We stayed at four different resorts during the whole period, (hotel hopping anyone?) and want to share with you two of them which we truly enjoyed and admired the aesthetics.
After the depart from the touristic Tian Ya Hai Jiao, we stayed at Intercontinental Sanya Resort. As you may have found out, modern style is our favorite. With that being said, Intercontinental is everything we could ask for. The minimal tropical with a Scandinavian touch.
Besides its interior design, the room is full of creativity and functionality to provide many ways to enjoy water. You could choose to hold a private pool party in the yard, or lie in the bathtub with a red wine in hand, or take a outdoor shower while gazing at the stars.
The next day, we went to Anantara Sanya Resort & Spa for Thai-style massage and spa. Although we did not stay there, we liked its Southern Asian romanticism and the spa experience was quite smooth and refreshing.
Before we talked about the next resort, we will go out for a beach walk. :)
