For our last days in Sanya, we stayed at the Conrad Resort, a hotel brand under Hilton group. After the Intercontinental experience (read here), we thought we have seen the best and would be immune to the awesomeness of other hotels. Well, Conrad just prove us wrong and obliged us to write another post on our trip to Sanya for it.
The resort is simply grandiose and extravagant, in both decor and service. Everything is so in place and impeccable. Extra point was that there were very few people during summer, so it felt like we own the whole place.
Our accommodation was even better than the common area. Living in a stand-alone villa, we had a large private pool all to ourselves. Between the time we went out for dinner and came back, the bed was made, the room was cleaned and fresh fruits and gourmet chocolate were served. They even closed the curtain for us and played on the soft music for the night mood. It was like having Dobby taking care of us.
Of course, you get what you pay for: $800 a night in China is definitely on the pricy end. However, if we were going to have such a luxurious resort experience as well as perfect beach location in, say, the Bahamas/Porte Rico/Virgin Islands, it would cost at least $1,500. So we would recommend it if you want a less-crowded, more exclusive vacation in Sanya.
BTW, there is an Atlantis Resort under construction right next door. So come early before the price go up.
So, Conrad vs Intercontinental, which one do you like better?
