I’ve never been to Dumbo outside summer. The abandoned industrial buildings feel different in the sunlight of autumn, which casts the defined, lonesome shadow on the ocher color of stone walls. The occasional roaring of subway ahead on the Brooklyn bridge is reminiscent of “Once Upon a Time in America.”
Summer, although long-stretched this year, has also become a good memory now. Time to pull the wool and cashmere out from my closet. Mix and match the red-hued items give me a mental comfort. Thanks to the thigh-highs, it feels officially warm.
